The Interim New Homes Quality Board was announced on the 26th of May, tasked with the appointment of the new Homes Ombudsman in Autumn and finalising the industry code of Practice, with the adjudication service being in place early 2021.
A QA and inspection regime system of minimum standards is expected that all developers will have to maintain.
What Quality Standards will be used in the adjudication? This is yet to be confirmed.
Delivering at least in line with the industry widely used NHBC Standards is probably a safe approach at this stage, until more detail is published.
